I really can't believe a month has passed since we went to the beach with Mark's family. The Outer Banks of NC was lovely as always. We had awesome travels with the kids being super patient and laid back both ways which is key on an 11 hour car trip! The fun thing about this year is that we got to stay in a new house. Mind you, the house was two doors down from Mark's parents' old house, but still, it was new to us and exciting.

Ellie LOVES sand like you just can't believe. She spent a lot of time crawling around like a kitty cat with her backside up in the air.
The weather was perfect and the ocean was great for swimming every day which rarely happens.

This was the first year that all the kids enjoyed the beach. It only took 13 years, but by golly, we've arrived!

This was a highlight of the house, a cabana. We ate lunch here almost every day. There was a mini fridge so we kept our food outside which was so convenient and fun.

We headed out to the beach on several evenings and it was so perfect...no people, great light for photos, and happy kids!

We got milkshakes from John's which are the best EVER.
It was so nice to have a break from our farm chores and just spend some time soaking up the sun and sand. We really didn't do anything besides eat out a few times, head to Mass twice, and play by the pool and on the beach. I usually have some favorite stores I like to shop, but I didn't even do that. This was truly one of the most low key and relaxing trips we've ever had!
