We've done a lot of work on the outside of our house. We figured if we were going to complete these projects we might as well have them finished before we hosted close to 30 people for Brooke's First Communion Brunch this past Sunday. I know it doesn't look like much, but it makes me smile when I'm pulling in the driveway. The landscaping is a work in progress and basically we're waiting for the plants to grow to bring the whole thing together.
While we were doing projects on the outside of the house, on the inside we were still doing school and getting into trouble. It would be fun if I could say that we taught Nash how to read already, but really he's only skilled at making messes and being cute.
Luke was so cute helping Mark with the mulch. I told him he was a good helper and he said, "That's because this is my second time." What he means is that he helped Mark when the rocks got delivered for our swing set so he is practically an expert. :) Later Luke confessed that his muscles were sore. Evidently it didn't tire his voice out. That boy talks to hear himself talk. Mark, I wonder where he gets that from?
Three cheers for my hubby! With very little prior experience and lots of obsessing, this wall came together in just a few days. It's such an improvement over our previously crumbling rock wall. Looove it!
I hope not to do anything to the outside of our house for a good long while. Well, except change the light over the front door, but that's not so much of a project as it is a task. :) Mark probably wants that in writing. Now that does not include the interior of our house which I'm always itching to change up. But for now, stick a fork in this project because it's D.O.N.E.
