These are a few of the pictures Sara took on Sunday. She posted a preview on her blog and she is sending the rest on a CD in the mail. I was thrilled last night when I received her email alerting me that a few of our photos were ready. I was so excited about them that I had a hard time falling asleep! Nerd alert. Although it also could have been the on going packing list I'm trying to store in my brain.
Besides being excited about our beautiful photos, which by the way, aren't my kids adorable? Just had to state the obvious. Sorry, I'll move on. The kids are over the top on fire with enthusiasm about our upcoming trip to Michigan. We are staying in a hotel for 3 days and then going camping for 2 nights, but they can think of nothing else but tents and campfires. You should have seen Luke's room yesterday when they were playing "camping". It was a disaster because they cut up paper for the "campfire". I'm a little nervous about the weather because on the days we are supposed to camp, the forecasters are calling for a 40% chance of rain. I am praying that they are wrong, which let's be honest, that wouldn't take a miracle. There is a 100% chance we will not be camping if it rains. The kids talk of nothing else: not the Cherry Festival, not seeing Great Grandpa Smith, not staying in a hotel, not spending more time with cousins. Just camping.
I have the laundry finished, but nothing else packed. Camping requires so much stuff that I'm tired even before I start. Mark is working so he is exempt from packing once again. Lucky little thing! Thankfully, my mom is coming over this morning and our babysitter is coming this afternoon so I can pack and run errands without losing my mind.
As far as my blog goes, I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to post from our hotel, but after that I may have to take a break until I we get home. Check back in a few days to see what's happening in Traverse City, MI this fourth of July weekend. Which, as I keep forgetting or possibly blocking out, is my 32rd birthday. Be back soon!
